Softball Saskatchewan has recently updated our Safe Sport Policy Manual. The manual includes the following policies:
- Discipline & Complaint Policy
- Investigation Policy - Discrimination, Harassment, Maltreatment and Prohibited Behavior.
- Alternate Dispute Resolution Policy
Softball Saskatchewan is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the sport. We believe every participant has the right to take part in softball free from misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and abuse. Through clear standards of conduct, education, and transparent reporting and complaint processes, we work to both prevent harm and respond effectively when concerns arise—ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our entire softball community.
We encourage all participants to address concerns using the appropriate process outlined below. Following these steps helps ensure concerns are handled fairly, efficiently, and at the right level.

SOFTBALL SASKATCHEWAN SAFE SPORT DECISION & AWARENESS GUIDE
Saskatchewan Safe Sport’s third-party investigation process is intended for serious safe sport concerns. It does not address complaints related to association or club-level matters, including procedural concerns, team selection decisions, suspensions, game or misconduct reports, playing time, or similar issues. These types of concerns should be directed to your local association or club and addressed in accordance with their policies and processes.
If the concern cannot be resolved at the local level, or involves a potential breach of Softball Saskatchewan policies, a formal complaint may be submitted to Softball Saskatchewan.
This process is governed by the Discipline & Complaints Policy and is intended for matters that fall within Softball Saskatchewan’s jurisdiction.
For serious concerns involving harassment, abuse, discrimination, or maltreatment, you can report directly through an independent third-party service instead of submitting a complaint through Softball Saskatchewan.
Softball Saskatchewan uses ITP Sport (IntegrityCounts) to provide a safe and confidential reporting option.
Reporting is critical in creating and maintaining a safe environment for all participants. Independent, third-party complaints management is a directive of Canada’s Safe Sport movement.
The Sask Sport Resource Line provides information, bilingual support, resources, and referrals for sport in Saskatchewan regarding possible bullying, abuse, harassment, discrimination, or hazing.
This confidential and anonymous resource operates 365 days of the year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is intended to assist individuals in determining the most appropriate course of action.
The Sask Sport Resource Line staff are qualified to handle calls regarding child and youth maltreatment (national/provincial child protection laws) as well as organization-specific risk management and dispute resolution processes.
