Umpire Exam Information

Softball Canada National Umpire Exam

The Level 1/2, 3, and 4/5 exams are each comprised of 50 True/False questions. 

Passing marks are:

• Level 1- 30/50
• Level 2- 35/50
• Level 3- 40/50
• Level 4- 40/50

Notes on the exam:

• Test to take: be sure to choose either the Level 1-2 FP,  Level 3 FP exam, or Level 4-5 FP.  
• Softball Canada Umpire Registration number: most umpires do not have this - simply by '0'
• Enter all the required information and then begin the online exam.  You can stop the test any time and resume within 2 weeks.
• You will have 3 attempts to make the minimum standing. 
• Canadian Championship Umpires must complete their exam buy July 1.  All others have until September 1.

Level 5 certification is operated by Softball Canada.
